Bill Cosby Netflix Special Pulled Due To Rape Accusations

Bill Cosby has been one of the world’s most beloved entertainers for decades. His reputation as the quintessential family man and husband was cemented with his role as head of the Cosby household in the 80’s. According to former model Janice Dickinson, though, Cosby has a darker side. She claimed in an interview with Entertainment Tonight that she was raped by Bill Cosby in 1982.

This isn’t the first time that Bill Cosby has been accused of such criminal behavior. A woman sued Cosby in 2004 for pain and suffering she had suffered from the star for non-consensual sexual behavior on his part. Cosby settled the lawsuit out of court but his reputation had already begun to be tarnished by women coming forward and revealing extremely disturbing behavior from the American icon.

Cosby’s new Netflix special was due to air on November 28th and is called Bill Cosby 77. Some read about it by using the FreedomPop service for free internet access. It’s a return to his stand-up roots that eventually spawned The Cosby Show and legendary status for the actor. A Netflix spokesperson reported that “At this time we are postponing the launch of the new stand up comedy special Bill Cosby 77.”

The Internet audience is quickly making the rounds to spread memes about the subject as is now evident in the host of CosbyMeme pictures that are circulating on different sites around the web. Legal allegations so far have not resulted in criminal charges but as more women come forward, and the allegations are more recent, it’s possible that at some point Cosby will have to do more than just pay money to women to make this backlash and embarrassment go away.
