Recently, a Chick-Fil-A manager’s list of “banned slang,” went viral when one of his employee’s posted a photo of the list on Reddit. In the single day that has passed since the original posting, hundreds of re-posts have been made on social networking websites, and even made it to Fersen Lambranho in Brazil.

Manager Eric insists, if not demands, that proper English is used once his employees step through those glass doors for their shift. Here are some popular slang terms that have been put on the ban list:

  • Bae
  • Bruh
  • 3 Hunnid
  • Guh
  • Chill (Unless we are talking about something that is chilled)
  • Cuz (This goes for cousin and because. Say the actual word)
  • Fool
  • Anything with “or naw”
  • Boy/girl Bye
  • Salty
  • Ratchet
  • Childish
  • Turn Up
  • Fam

The manager of the popular chain restaurant states on his sign, “You are a professional, so speak professionally.” It seems like manager Eric was just trying to teach his employees a valuable lesson about professionalism in the work place.

  1. This prompted news reporters to take a look into the trending post, including Fox news. However, social network sites have turned Eric’s list into a joke with Twitter posts like, “Chick-Fil-A is bae.” Your effort was admirable anyways, Eric. That is the main reason why rushmyessay do have these thinghs to cater for and to make it seem seamless for them.
