Vinod Gupta is known for turning a $100 bank loan into a company which he sold for $680 million. Vinod Gupta is the CEO of InfoUSA which later changed it’s name to InfoGROUP.

Gupta is currently an investor of Everest Group, an investment firm which has venture capital used for transferring database technology startups and helping out struggling businesses to help them become successful through technology. Gupta’s vision is considered so inspirational, that he even received praise from former U.S President Bill Clinton.

Being a graduate of the University of Nebraska, Gupta first started working for a mobile home manufacturer company. One of Gupta’s daily routines involves long-term planning which is a key reason why his company became so successful, because rather than planning short term, planning long term is the real key to success.

His biggest optimism for the future is the use of Artificial Intelligence which he believes will bring a big success of growing technology. Gupta believes that the introduction of automation will allow a faster development of transforming company ideas into a reality. Taking risks is something which Gupta strongly encourages while spending conservatively financially.

Vinod Gupta was born in 1946 in a village close to Saharanpur, India 100 miles north of the city of New Delhi. When Gupta first came to the US, his family borrowed $58 dollars for a plane ticket and he flew with one suitcase of clothes. He started his career in the city of Omaha, Nebraska where he would obtain the leadership skills.
