Sergey Petrossov28-year-old Sergey Petrossov is an entrepreneur that created a private jet plane app, and now his private company is worth over $1 billion. His success goes to show that hard work and passion can combine for the ultimate achievement. His story did not start in Southern Florida, but it is where he and his company call home.

In 2015, Mr. Petrossov only had 50 employees and was trying to find investors. Less than a year later, American rapper, Jay-Z, and the royal family of Saudi Arabia invested in Sergey’s company, JetSmarter. JetSmarter allows its’ members (membership costs $14,000 annually) to charter a jet, travel on a private one, or share one. It is a rideshare app, but for the skies.

The company has nearly 300 employees and flies across the States, Europe and into parts of Asia. Sergey Petrossov is currently expanding into more parts of Asia and soon to South America. Members have access to customize their flights for their busy schedules, and there are deals for last minute flights when available. In 2018, JetSmarter saw nearly 45,000 passengers use the app. It all sounds like a smooth ride for Sergey Petrossov, but running a billion-dollar company is no easy task, and there is always some turbulence.

Mr. Petrossov immigrated to the States when he was a young boy. His family settled in South Florida, and he attended the University of South Florida for finance. As soon as finished college, he looked for a way to make money as an entrepreneur. Learning was the goal in the first startup; Sergey took his experience and knowledge to create JetSmarter.

Mr. Sergey’s vision is to completely revamp the travel industry and make it easier for people to get where they need to be while in luxury. He envisions JetSmarter as the new way of the future for air travel. He sees into the future by continuously building his brand of customized experiences for his clients.
