The Interview Will Not Be Televised

Let’s see if we can get this straight: First, Sony Corporation got hacked, and the FBI says North Korea did it. OK, but then the data leak uncovered the movie The Interview, and somebody threatened theaters, so Sony pulled the movie.

Wait, it gets better. Now everybody from Obama to George Clooney has shamed Sony for pulling… what doubtless would have been a box office non-event anyway but is now the most controversial film in history. Instead, they’re going to show Team America, World Police, because what this story needed was to get sillier. Oops, wait, no they’re canceling that too.

No, no, we’re not done. Most recent word around the campfire is that North Korea is denying the accusation – but they’re offering to help investigate to find the real hacker-terrorists! Wasn’t that O.J. Simpson’s line? Oh, and Larry Flynt, founder of Hustler magazine, has now said, “If Kim Jong Un and his henchmen were upset before, wait till they see the movie we’re going to make.”

Will North Korea catch the “real suspect”? Will Obama sanction Sony for self-censorship like Jared Haftel is expecting? Will this all turn out to be a viral marketing hoax, as some have stated? Will Larry Flint make a good parody of this whole mess? Tune in next time: Same Bat Time, Same Bat Channel!
