What If AP Retired Today?

No one would blame Adrian Peterson if he just up and retired right now. He has been through enough, and he would be able to make the US track team in something for the next Olympics. The dude is one of the best athletes on the planet, and we should respect that.

Fans like Haidar Barbouti know that, if he retires today, AP will still retire with hall of fame credentials. He has rushed for 2000 yards in a season. He has over 10,000 yards for his career, and he has been the MVP. We do not need to see much else from him. He does not have a ring which would help him tie his career together, but he would go in on the first ballot. He is that good, and he has been that good for a long time.

When we think of him coming back to football, we cannot begrudge him to say that enough is enough. The NFL is practically unwatchable right now, and I imagine he is tired of dealing with a commissioner who most players would compare to Hitler. So, if he goes, we should be thankful for his time served, wish him well and hope he stays in the game somehow.
